  • 7th Annual Dinner & Auction – MBTS
    4:00 PM-8:00 PM
    October 17, 2026

Our 7th Annual Moms Breaking the Silence Dinner & Auction is coming up Saturday, October 17, and this year we are taking the fun to a NEW location—the Walsworth Community Center in Marceline!
If you’ve been to our auction before, you know this is just a FUN night. Good food, lots of laughs, great auction items, an open beer & wine bar, and a room full of people coming together to support something that means so much to us.
There are SO many ways you can support MBTS. You can purchase a single ticket for $30, grab a table of 8 for $200 and bring your friends, donate a basket or item for our auction, or simply make a donation to MBTS.
And we want people to understand why this night matters so much to us.
Every penny we bring in goes right back out into our communities and beyond. It allows us to provide Lift Kits, mental health resources, education, suicide prevention outreach, support for individuals and families, and so much more at absolutely no cost to the people who need us.
This fundraiser is what helps us keep saying YES when someone reaches out and needs help.
So come spend the evening with us. Bring your friends. Buy a table. Donate an auction item. Or simply support us however you can.
We promise you’ll have a great time and you’ll be helping us continue doing the work we love so much.
Saturday, October 17 | Walsworth Community Center | Marceline
Doors open at 4 • Dinner at 6 • Live auction to follow
We can’t wait to see you there!

  • Glow & Grow w/ PHS
    4:30 PM-6:30 PM
    October 27, 2026

Women’s health will take center stage this fall as Pershing Health System hosts its Glow & Grow Women’s Health Fair on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Pershing Health System Hospital Lobby.

Designed around the theme “Empowered • Screened • Thriving,” the Glow & Grow Women’s Health Fair is a free community event that brings together healthcare professionals, local organizations, educational resources, wellness opportunities and preventive health screenings, all with the goal of helping women take charge of their health.

“Women are often so busy taking care of everyone else that they forget to make time for themselves,” said Brooklyn Murrell, Director of Imaging at Pershing Health System. “Glow & Grow is an opportunity to focus on your own health, learn about resources available in our community, and take advantage of preventive screenings that can make a real difference.”

One of the highlights of the Glow & Grow Women’s Health Fair is the opportunity to take advantage of affordable laboratory testing provided by Pershing Health System’s Laboratory. Experienced laboratory professionals will perform blood draws during the event, making it convenient for attendees to learn more about their health.

Available laboratory tests include a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) with Lipids ($30), Complete Blood Count (CBC) ($15), Hemoglobin A1C ($20), Thyroid Panel ($30), Vitamin D ($20), Vitamin B12 ($10), PSA for men ($20), and an Iron Panel ($12).

Pershing Health System’s Imaging Department will also offer CT Heart Calcium Scoring for the special event price of $75 (regularly $100). Attendees may purchase the discounted CT Heart Calcium Scan during the event and schedule their exam for a later date. This quick, non-invasive CT scan measures calcium buildup in the coronary arteries and can help detect early signs of heart disease before symptoms develop.

In addition to the health screenings, attendees can visit a variety of community organizations and Pershing Health System departments offering health education, wellness resources and one-on-one conversations with knowledgeable professionals.

Featured participants include Gateway to Hope, providing breast health education, screening navigation, financial assistance and support services for individuals seeking breast healthcare. Queen Bee Beauty & Wellness will offer Red Light Collagen Boost sessions, while Daybreak Salon & Skin Spa will offer chair massages to promote relaxation and give attendees an opportunity to take a little time for themselves.

Visitors can also learn about skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long-term care services from Life Care Center of Brookfield, explore health and wellness products from Plexus, and speak with Senior Life Solutions about mental health, emotional wellness and behavioral health support.

Pershing Health System’s Financial Resources department will be available to answer questions about financial counseling, payment plans and assistance options. The Linn County Ambulance District will provide complimentary blood pressure and pulse oximetry checks. Providers from Community Medical Associates, Tara Swan and Julie Ladd, will be available to answer questions and talk with women about their health, preventive care and wellness concerns.

Pershing Health System’s Diabetes Educator, Brenda Haley, will provide diabetes prevention and management resources, while Dietary Services will share healthy eating tips and nutrition education. Heather Wood, Social Services, will be available to assist with and answer questions about living wills and durable powers of attorney for healthcare (DPOA). Heather will also provide information and answer questions about PHS’s Swing Bed/Skilled Care Program, including the services available to patients who need additional skilled care and rehabilitation following a hospital stay.

Whether you’re interested in affordable laboratory testing, scheduling preventive screenings, talking one-on-one with healthcare professionals, discovering community resources or simply spending an evening focused on your health and well-being, the Glow & Grow Women’s Health Fair offers something for everyone.

The Glow & Grow Women’s Health Fair is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
